huge comfy/lounge area. very laptop friendly, with outlets, tables, couches. nice selection of coffee/tea/smoothies as well as sweet and savory snacks. can be crowded at times. at night, bar area is open, as well as live music near the end of the week.

No wifi at Cobble Hill locationPosted by M at 5:50pm March 14, 2007 Flag This

Unfortunately, my friends and I have been trying to get work done at the Cobble Hill location for Tea Lounge. We love the atmosphere and the friendly staff, but there's no wifi to be had here. At the very least, it's spotty, so not at all reliable.

Depends on when you goPosted by Michael (www) at 09:14am February 04, 2007 Flag This

There are only lots of kids at certain family times. What's great about this place is the crowd is always different and diverse. Music is great--they generally play full albums. The live music is generally a sort of new Jazz, not everyone's cup of tea (but mine) that is the hub of what the New York Times called "the Brooklyn Renaissance." Very comfortable atmosphere, the service is fine--it's just popular so be patient.

agree that there are many children here, but finding a corner might help to get things done. service is also PAINFULLY slow here.

Cafe or kindergarten?Posted by Sheena (www) at 05:34am December 11, 2006 Flag This

Nice space, but overrun....emphasis on the RUN...with kids. Don't expect to get any work done at all here.
