Free wireless, right by campus. Yay! JP's is awesome!!!Posted by CattyinAustin at 06:11am August 15, 2006 Flag This JP'S is awesome. Whoever said their coffee isn't as good as Starbucks is a loon. The coffee is great and strong, and they made the best Cafe Au Lait I've ever had. The atmosphere is really good if you are trying to work in the mornings through late afternoons--gets a bit crowded in the evenings. The baristas are super nice people, hipsters without the snobbery, and austin-slacker cool while also quick with the service. Love this place, it's my new favorite place to get things done!Posted by Carolyn at 4:14pm February 03, 2005 Flag This JP's is my favorite new coffeehouse. It's close to where I live, and the people there are cool and laid back. No attitude yet from anyone. Lots of places for you to sit, and just has a very comfy atmosphere. Two thumbs up! For those interested it stay's open until 2am from Sun-Thurs and until midnight on Fri & Sat. It's a really cool place. Coffee is great plus you get one free for every 9 you buy. So get the frequent flyer card! SmoothiesPosted by Josh at 2:01pm August 23, 2003 Flag This OK. I'm beginning a crack-down right now... One for onePosted by steve tomich at 09:12am June 20, 2003 Flag This First time in this morning -- best latte I've had since Pike St. Market about five years ago. JP's - good local dealPosted by indietim at 00:51am March 12, 2003 Flag This wifi is usually pretty solid, teething problems at first i suspect. perhaps some of you should try getting out and walking or riding a bike... though i know the parking is a pain in the arse from the couple of times i've happened to have been in the car. great for us locals that can walk and thank god it isn't another fucking starbucks... try their americano or a double espresso over ice on a hot day. [No title]Posted by Anonymous at 07:59am January 19, 2003 Flag This im here now and the internet is great plus the chicks are hot the coffeePosted by lulu at 2:07pm January 18, 2003 Flag This place is cool, but parking sucks and coffee doesnt compare to starbucks... Great if you walk/bike in, I suppose, but don't try parking therePosted by Tony at 6:09pm January 14, 2003 Flag This I haven't actually been in this place yet as on at least three separate occasions I couldn't find parking anyplace nearby, so I punted and went to Flight Path. Wireless SpeedPosted by Josh (www) at 02:02am December 15, 2002 Flag This As far as the speed goes... Yeah, may have been isolated. I've only tried a couple of times. Usually I just stop there on the way home from meetings to read or chill out with an Austin Chronicle... Not Weak all the timePosted by Steve at 1:33pm December 11, 2002 Flag This I've had really good speeds with the wireless at JPs. 140KB/sec - better than my cable modem at home. Weak WirelessPosted by Josh (www) at 10:10pm December 01, 2002 Flag This As far as I can tell, the wireless at JP's is really weak. Don't know what the problem is exactly, but some pages take forever to load... JP's is really cool!Posted by Anonymous at 2:52pm November 18, 2002 Flag This I've stopped by JP's for a moment of relaxation on my way home from campus the past few days. It's really cool! Built out of a converted garage. Hopefully it's not a chain or something... Add a Comment |
