Nice neighborhoood, good selection of goodies to eat and drink. Now totally free! Quacks got their act together yet?Posted by GG at 4:37pm March 08, 2005 Flag This I've tried Quack's a couple of times. After getting a special login id for their system, my system repeatedly bluescreened while attempting to connect. Not a happy camper here. Do you still need the special id? Have they gotten the bugs out of their wireless yet? Great Reception at Quack'sPosted by HP at 2:26pm February 08, 2005 Flag This Great connection at Quack's. No problems here. Repeated connection problems and few AC outletsPosted by JD at 09:45am December 17, 2004 Flag This I have gone to Quack's 2 times. Each time, I have been unable to connect to the Internet. After the first time, my computer maker's tech support verified the proper operation of my machine and changed one of the settings. Then, I was able to connect to the Internet at another coffee shop while still being able to connect wirelessly at home. Today, I was unsuccessful again connecting to the Internet at Quack's. Their staff is not helpful in solving the problem. In fact, the employee suggested I had a problem with my brand new machine! In addition, there are only a few working AC outlets. One customer had her machine plugged into an outlet next to a toaster. The wall outlet I first tried was completely dead. Quack's now has free internet!Posted by Matt McCabe (www) at 09:21am January 19, 2004 Flag This According to a sign on the door, Quack's now claims to have free wireless. I haven't tried it out yet...so try it out at your own risk ;) customerPosted by proto opus at 3:49pm December 24, 2003 Flag This as of a couple days ago (~12/22/03) quack's is free, through lessnetworks. YummyPosted by Mars (www) at 09:43am March 23, 2003 Flag This The WiFi may not be free, but the baked goods are sooooooo tasty, it may be worth the premium. [No title]Posted by Anonymous at 10:20pm February 09, 2003 Flag This This one's not free! No more free servicePosted by Jazzkat at 5:03pm January 18, 2003 Flag This Looks like no more free access anymore - not even the first hour free. Service rather slow tonight.Posted by Josh Knowles (www) at 8:37pm September 03, 2002 Flag This The service out at Quack's tonight is extremely slow. Don't know what the problem is. And it seems like about half the time the service isn't working at all. Maybe they'll work out the bugs soon, because I like hanging out here. Add a Comment |
