Not a great place to workPosted by Redux at 6:41pm August 11, 2007 Flag This

The staff was great, the food was delicous... but thats not why you're looking here....

When it comes down to it you've got 3 places you can sit, and all 3 are inadequate in different ways.

1) Theres the cigar lounge, which has outlets but no wi-fi signal, and the cigar lounge isn't directly affiliated with the restaurant, so it's implied that if you sit there you'll buy a cigar.

2) There's the restaurant, which has wi-fi signal but no outlets (i was told after i got there the 1 and only outlet in the restaurant doens't work and never has), and it's a somewhat classy bar&grill so it's implied you're going to order a 30-40 dollar entree off the menu.

3) Theres outside, which has outlets AND a weak wi-fi signal that drops randomly whenever a thick steak passes between your laptop and their router, it's 100 degrees, uncovered open outdoors, and the chairs are made of steel mesh and terribly uncomfortable.

If you're looking for a place to kill a half hour and check email while waiting for a plane, and your laptop is already charged and you have an airline adaptor, and you dont feel weird being the only person with a laptop in a somewhat upscale restaurant with famlies and dates, go for it.

If you're looking for a place to sit back and get 3-4 hours of work done, and you dont wanna spend 50 bucks on food and make trips every hour to the cigar lounge to plug your laptop in, or sit in 100 degree open outdoors in steel chairs, you're probably best skipping this one.

ON an unrelated note, the fish and chips was delicious, and they have some AMAZING looking steaks here.
