Over the years I have experimented with using video projection accompaniments when I perform live. I created a fifty-minute video to project behind myself while performing a live set of music at AMODA Digital Showcase 17.
The piece was created using Super-8 footage from New York City, digital photographs and video taken around Austin, and abstract shapes and patterns designed in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. I animated these into twisting and evolving splashes of light and color using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere.
Below are some still frames and photographs taken live at the event. (That's me at the computer.)
