Berliner Dom Frieze

Long past are the days when heads of state could dress like Kaiser Karl V on the right.
This is one of several bronze friezes along the front of the Berliner Dom. The only characters I recognize are Martin Luther (second from the left) and Kaiser (Holy Roman Emperor) Chuck Five (on the right). I have no idea what's going on, but I do know that the presence of Luther indicates that this is a Protestant cathedral and, as such, one will have to pay a few Euros to get inside...
(I'm note sure if "frieze" is exactly the right word for this. I don't know what the right for this would be, though.)
